Having Many Revelations Daily - March 4, 2019

Yakwe, Hola, Hello!

First off, I gotta give a shoutout to my man JT McCain for getting himself engaged. 👏 Well done.

This week has been really really good. It's been incredible to see how the Lord provides us with the harvest when we follow His guidance. We've been running from lesson to lesson all week, I've been busier than ever, and I've also felt more love than I have ever felt towards the people I'm teaching. I love being a missionary people!

Here's a couple highlights from the week.

First off, we had zone conference. It was a really powerful one, and especially fun because the rest of the mission was introduced to the new style of missionary work.

The coolest part for me though, was during Elder Clark and Elder Browns training on using personal studies to help the people we teach. We did an activity where we prayed for the person we wanted to help, and flipped to a random page of the Book of Mormon and looked for revelation to help that person. It was cool because Elder Sch and I were not sitting next to each other, but we both thought of the same person and received the exact same answer. The Spirit works people.

Second highlight was getting to go to the temple with the Rodriguez's on Saturday! It was the first time both of them had done baptisms, and it was one of the sweetest sights to see them standing in the water together. We weren't able to get a picture with them because the temple was short staffed, so we were helping out elsewhere. We also stayed for a session, making our visit about 4 hours long. I received some very clear guidance from the Lord while there.

Lastly, we were privileged to fast as a stake for missionary work yesterday. We were pretty frustrated because no one came to church, but right as we were concluding our fast, we got a call from the other elders. Apparently one of our apartment neighbors had been told by God to go to our church, so he showed up in their ward. We went and talked to him, and he's on date for April 27th. Miracles happen folks.

Anyway, it's been a wonderful week! The cold is starting to go away, and it was so beautiful and sunny on our way to Nauvoo that I had to write a poem. Here you go:

The hills are robed in rotting snow,
Barren fields await the plow,
From frosted glass, friends faces show,
Songs of spring are heard at last.

Birdsongs sung from budding trees,
Echoed by the brook below,
The cold is cut by their chorus, free,
By the joy which sunlight sows.

Sunlight streaks the thawing soil,
Sowing strands of hope,
Which will blossom in beauty, royal,
As faithful flowers upon the slope.

I'm so thankful for all of you, and for my mission. I love you all!

Godspeed.
