Follow the Ghost Ghost - November 12, 2018

Hello all the friends, 

This week has been crazy. Transfers came and went, as did some of my best friends from the IDMM. Transfers are always very bittersweet. I'm going to miss those who have left (shoutout to Elder Harvath), and especially those who have gone home (shoutout to my peeps Jacob and Danielle). 

However, a miracle happened at transfers as well. 

I'M COMPANIONS WITH ELDER BARNEY!!! 

Folks, I've been waiting for this since the mtc. We're still here in Iowa City, and it's about to be so lit you can't even imagine. I'm so pumped! 

On a more spiritual note, this week has been very spirit led. As Elder Barney affectionately refers to the spirit as, "the ghost ghost". We've been amazed at how the ghost ghost has been directing our work and our preparations for the new transfer. It's been awesome to see and receive so much revelation. It's impossible to explain how it is experienced, but revelation is real, and it is powerful. Brothers and Sisters, I'd admonish you to strive to deepen your understanding of the principle of revelation to aid you in whatever thing you need direction for in your life.

Hello all you beautiful people!  This week has been pretty gnarly. I've honestly been reminded a lot of the year at camp when we got snowed in. Just like that week, we've had to shovel ourselves out almost every day. It's been pretty exciting. :D  Monday was pretty crazy. We drove to Ames for p-day, but while we were here a really bad storm hit, and they wouldn't let us drive home, due to a 80-something car pileup. Super scary. So we impromptu stayed the night in the tiny Boone apt with 6 missionaries. Good times.  Tuesday  we were able to drive home, I drove, since my comp is from Arizona and doesn't even know how to walk in the snow. (jk, he's super cool). We got home, had a lesson with Randy, and then the Boone Elders came to Carroll for an exchange. Big Plays - June 3, 2019

Our zone motto this transfer is No MOBP'S. That stands for, "missed out on a big play". Like in sports the plays that change the game, the big ones, require the most involvement and dedication. In the grand contest of missionary work, we are privileged to participate in many big plays, and this week has been full of those.  Brothers and Sisters, I can honestly say that there is no more rewarding experience than working for the salvation of others and finding yourself in the right place at the right time, as God calls a play that will change someones entire life. What an honor to be a part of this great work of Salvation. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a missionary, I love it more than anything in the world. That all being said, this week was great! Just Chilling in Cedar Rapids-Sept. 10, 2018

This week has been wonderful! So crazy.  On Tuesday, we had exchanges with the fourth ward, and we had a riot. Cool experience that day, we were trying and trying to just eat dinner, but things kept getting in the way, and we kept finding people to teach, so our priorities were against eating. Anyway, after a baptism that night for the YSA, we decided to go to Wendy's. Right when we got out of the car, late at night, starving and just wanting to eat, a couple guys flagged us down and we had an amazing lesson with them. I love being about the Lord's work, and being able to put my desires aside to do the things he would have me do. Wednesday was interviews! That was crazy. We had interviews in Iowa City in the morning and then had to bomb it up to Cedar Rapids in the middle of the storm for interviews in the afternoon. Very long day.
