These are a few of my favorite things- November 26, 2018

Hello everyone!  This week has been one of my absolute favorite weeks ever. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I've been able to grow close to on my mission, for all the wonderful experiences, and especially for the chance to serve the Lord. Honestly, I've learned that my favorite things in life are the relationships we build and the chances we have to serve eachother. On that vein, this week has been absolutely loaded with my favorite things!  Anyway! This week was awesome. We had both our District Councils on Tuesday, which was super fun. Wednesday we were on exchanges with Elders Rutledge and Meador. Had some fun, found some cool people, and bought six people Taco Bell with our loose change. It was epic.  Then it was THANKSGIVING!!! Man, I love the holidays. We met up for pancakes with the zone for breakfast, then played Tennis till we had to go to our dinners. We and the Sisters ate with the Jacksons, which was a good time. Then we met back up ...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR, AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Ladies and Gentlemen, it snowed, I got christmas music, and they put up christmas lights all on the same day this week. I'm so happy.  (insert random shoutouts to Elder Harvath, Elder Fuller, and Elder Steed)  Anyway! Life is wonderful! This week was really busy, but as amazing as usual! We had our MLC on Tuesday, followed by interviews on Wednesday! We also had a finding day on Thursday in which our zone handed out 42 copies of the Book of Mormon! It was such a good day!  Then, WE MOVED!  We had to switch apartments with the YSA elders, because they're now in a carshare. So I have a new address.   930 Boston Way apt 11A  Coralville, IA 52241  so please send mail there for the next month or so. Thanks!  Brothers and Sisters, I just want to take this chance to share my testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that He really did live, and that...

Follow the Ghost Ghost - November 12, 2018

Hello all the friends,  This week has been crazy. Transfers came and went, as did some of my best friends from the IDMM. Transfers are always very bittersweet. I'm going to miss those who have left (shoutout to Elder Harvath), and especially those who have gone home (shoutout to my peeps Jacob and Danielle).  However, a miracle happened at transfers as well.  I'M COMPANIONS WITH ELDER BARNEY!!!  Folks, I've been waiting for this since the mtc. We're still here in Iowa City, and it's about to be so lit you can't even imagine. I'm so pumped!  On a more spiritual note, this week has been very spirit led. As Elder Barney affectionately refers to the spirit as, "the ghost ghost". We've been amazed at how the ghost ghost has been directing our work and our preparations for the new transfer. It's been awesome to see and receive so much revelation. It's impossible to explain how it is experienced, but revelation is real, and...

Real. - November 5, 2018

Hello again dear friends!  First off, I want to apologize for the quality of my last few letters. For a variety of reasons, we have found ourselves with no time to email for the last few weeks. I'm sorry.  This week has been pretty crazy, we've had a lot of fun, but also some very trying experiences in the lives of those around us. It has caused me to reflect a lot on my purpose and on the meaning of life. As a missionary, I spend an awful lot of time talking about the simple truths of the gospel, like why we are here. When you talk about something that much, it often becomes commonplace, and you forget the meanings and applications of those principles.  And then things get real.  A 12 year old girl asks you what will happen to her if she doesn't get baptized.  You interview two people for their baptism.  One of them gets baptized.  The other has to decide if they are willing to be baptized, even if it means being diso...
