These are a few of my favorite things- November 26, 2018

Hello everyone! 

This week has been one of my absolute favorite weeks ever. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I've been able to grow close to on my mission, for all the wonderful experiences, and especially for the chance to serve the Lord. Honestly, I've learned that my favorite things in life are the relationships we build and the chances we have to serve eachother. On that vein, this week has been absolutely loaded with my favorite things! 

Anyway! This week was awesome. We had both our District Councils on Tuesday, which was super fun. Wednesday we were on exchanges with Elders Rutledge and Meador. Had some fun, found some cool people, and bought six people Taco Bell with our loose change. It was epic. 

Then it was THANKSGIVING!!! Man, I love the holidays. We met up for pancakes with the zone for breakfast, then played Tennis till we had to go to our dinners. We and the Sisters ate with the Jacksons, which was a good time. Then we met back up to go bowling as a zone! It was a great day. Lots of memories made. 

The weekend got pretty wrecked though. The last game of the season was on Friday, plus it was Black Friday, so that day was shot. Saturday was great though. Found some studs. 

Sunday was nuts. We got 8 inches of snow, church was cancelled, and we weren't allowed to go out except for scheduled appointments. So we built a pretty gnarly puzzle and made bacon-cheese waffles. It was lit. 

That evening was good though. We were able to eat with some of my fav members, the Zirkers, and then we had a lesson with the Rodriguez's! We've been teaching them since I got here, and everything is set and ready for Audrie's baptism on Saturday! Please pray for her, and that Leah will get her answer about being baptized! 

Anyway, life is great! I'm so thankful for this time to focus on others. It's such a blessing. 

We're heading to Cedar Rapids soon, to see my boi Elder Harvath (s/o), so Imma wrap this up. I love you all! Have a wonderful week!

Big Plays - June 3, 2019

Our zone motto this transfer is No MOBP'S. That stands for, "missed out on a big play". Like in sports the plays that change the game, the big ones, require the most involvement and dedication. In the grand contest of missionary work, we are privileged to participate in many big plays, and this week has been full of those.  Brothers and Sisters, I can honestly say that there is no more rewarding experience than working for the salvation of others and finding yourself in the right place at the right time, as God calls a play that will change someones entire life. What an honor to be a part of this great work of Salvation. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a missionary, I love it more than anything in the world. SO.MUCH.SNOW.

Hello all you beautiful people!  This week has been pretty gnarly. I've honestly been reminded a lot of the year at camp when we got snowed in. Just like that week, we've had to shovel ourselves out almost every day. It's been pretty exciting. :D  Monday was pretty crazy. We drove to Ames for p-day, but while we were here a really bad storm hit, and they wouldn't let us drive home, due to a 80-something car pileup. Super scary. So we impromptu stayed the night in the tiny Boone apt with 6 missionaries. Good times.  Tuesday  we were able to drive home, I drove, since my comp is from Arizona and doesn't even know how to walk in the snow. (jk, he's super cool). We got home, had a lesson with Randy, and then the Boone Elders came to Carroll for an exchange. Just Chilling in Cedar Rapids-Sept. 10, 2018

This week has been wonderful! So crazy.  On Tuesday, we had exchanges with the fourth ward, and we had a riot. Cool experience that day, we were trying and trying to just eat dinner, but things kept getting in the way, and we kept finding people to teach, so our priorities were against eating. Anyway, after a baptism that night for the YSA, we decided to go to Wendy's. Right when we got out of the car, late at night, starving and just wanting to eat, a couple guys flagged us down and we had an amazing lesson with them. I love being about the Lord's work, and being able to put my desires aside to do the things he would have me do. Wednesday was interviews! That was crazy. We had interviews in Iowa City in the morning and then had to bomb it up to Cedar Rapids in the middle of the storm for interviews in the afternoon. Very long day.
