Every day a good day - October 8, 2018
Hello my people!
Wow. This week was awesome. It's amazing to see the work of the Lord roll forth in such an intimate way. This week we saw some major changes in the church to move the work forward, but I was also able to participate in pushing the cause of Christ along in my small way, person to person, as Christ always did. It's truly incredible to be the Lords servant, and awe inspiring to see his plan unfold in miraculous ways.
Anyway! This week was super busy and super great. On Tuesday we had MLC, which is always great. President Badger gave a training on the Covenant Trail, and kept talking about the Tetons. Yup, trunky. But it was a good day. I also got to perform a musical number with Sister Harmon (shoutout to the moon goons). It turned out really well.
Then we had another full day of interviews. That was a long day, but despite my fatigue, when we went knocking for a little while that evening, the pain and exhaustion departed, and I was filled with energy. It's so amazing. President Eyring said, "when my body screams for rest, I give myself this rallying cry: remember Him". I can testify that no matter what we are going through ourselves, if we will look outwards and serve others out of love for then and for Christ, we will be blessed in so many ways. The atonement of Christ really does enable us to do great things.
We also had exchanges with one of our district leaders. Super fun. As part of that day, and as part of our zone theme, we had what we call a, "good day". Basically, the entire zone got out and knocked the entire day long. We made and reached a goal of handing out 50 copies of the Book of Mormon, and invited loads of people to watch conference. It was great!
Then, of course, it was conference! If you didn't watch it, watch it. God is making us better as a people. Study and strive to apply the things we were taught. They will bless you. The gospel is all about action, application, and love. That is literally all we were taught this weekend. I'm so thankful for a Prophet.
In similar fashion, I found myself exhausted after conference, with very little desire to work. Especially because it was raining super hard. We got out there though, and miracles started raining as well. Brothers and Sisters, when we lose ourselves in the service of others, we find ourselves. I love this work. I love the Lord.
Godspeed.
