The City of Iowa City - Aug. 20, 2018

 Hello everybody!

This week has been absolutely crazy. Transfers happened, and it was so crazy and exciting! I got shipped out to serve as a Zone Leader with Elder Anderson (my ZL for the last two transfers) in IOWA CITY!!! Our zone covers all of Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and surrounding areas. We're so excited about this transfer! It's already so good and so full of miracles.

Backtracking though, we had exchanges with Centerville. That was fun, and DJ fed us all. Highlight of the week: DJ chasing Elder Clark around with a Tazer. Oh man that was funny.

Then it was transfer calls. Some crazy stuff going on in the McCain lineage. I went Zone Leader, my son Elder Hutchings went Zone Leader, my grandson went District Leader and is training my great-grandson (who looks like a stud)! Good things happening.

Then we went to Waukee for P-day. Fun. Ball. Bye-bye books. Etc.

THEN IT WAS TRANSFERS! We got to Des Moines pretty early, said goodbye to a bunch of people, and then Elder Anderson and were in charge of bring the new missionaries to Iowa City in the Transfer van. That was a riot. We then arrived, said a bunch of hellos, some more goodbyes, and had more fun. Went to Costco for lunch with the district. Then we spent an hour or two trying to get into our apartment and get all our contacts. Since we whitewashed, there was so much to figure out, and so little time to do it. We managed to get some work done though, and the first guy we talked to has now been taught twice. God is good folks.

The weekend was honestly the busiest time o my mission. It was so great! We hardly had time for studies, what with two District Councils and a bunch of lessons. It's been amazing.

To make everything even better, our Ward Mission Leader is the greatest. He literally keeps a calendar with all our meetings and lessons and stuff on it, and has a goal to schedule 24 lessons for us every week. HE is scheduling 24 lessons for us EVERY WEEK!!!! It's nuts.

Anyway, life is good, we're working with some great people, pray for Hugh, Eric, and the Betofe's!

Love you all!
