"#1 in Churches and Organizations!" - July 30, 2018

Well hello again! Looks like it's Monday. I'm still losing my mind at how fast time moves. It's definitely accelerating. I love all of it though. I wish it would slow down a bit. It's going to be over before I know it.

The weather this week has been exactly what the weather is heaven is going to be like! Slightly humid, cool breeze, spotty clouds, and all at about 75 degrees. It's been incredible.

As far as the work, this week has been pretty unique! We were teaching a lesson on a porch this Tuesday, and this guy drove up super slow, got out of his car, and walked right up to us. He was so slow and old... I thought he might crumble to dust if I bumped him... But he walked right up and cut right into our conversation. It was so weird. He proceeded to tell us that he was a country music star, and started to show us a bunch of screenshots of actual country artists, telling us how he knew all of them, dated Dolly Parton, hung out with Elvis, taught Brad Paisley everything he knows... It was weird. We're pretty sure he's just nuts.

Then, on Wednesday we did a District finding day, which was super fun! Knocking is so good for the soul. To end that day though, we went to a parade! The branch decided to make a float and participate in the Lenox Rodeo Parade. After sitting in line forever, the parade started, and in 20 minutes we handed out 12 Book of Mormons, 20 Restoration pamphlets, and around 300 pass-along cards. It was lit. Turns out we took first in churches and organizations! It was pretty great to hear the guy announce that:

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, number one in churches and organizations!"

Yeah, I agree.

The last big thing this week was Saturday, when we participated in two separate moves on different sides of our area. That took the whole day. It was crazy though, the truck we had was just a disaster. We had to jump it 5 times, fill the leaky tank twice, and eventually just bought it a new battery. It also got stuck in a ditch. But at the end of the day, it all worked out!

I love you all dearly. I hope you all have a blessed week! I love this Gospel and I know it is the source of the joy and strength I feel. If you don't understand that feeling, or are not presently feeling it, I pray that you will intentionally and prayerfully seek it out. You can find it through our Savior.

Here's a few pictures!
