Become an Expert on Christ

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be able to talk to you today! I hope your week has been as good as mine, I seriously doubt it was though... Missionary work is the best.

Last Monday was pretty neat. We had p-day with the whole district, and went WAY south, to this place called Lamoni... Sound like a Mormon name or what? That's cause it was the old capital of the RLDS church. So we went on some tours and got some rad pictures. Also, there's a lot of Amish people down there, and I was able to buy some of their cheese. It made my day.

Later, we came back north to the Mt Pisgah cemetery on the Mormon trail and did some exploring, it was pretty neat. We also went witching... I tried to explain it in a video... It's crazy.

Anyway! Tuesday was Zone Conference, and it was probably the best one yet. I love the constant flow of spiritual experiences that comes as a missionary! President Badger gave us a commitment to become experts on Christ by learning about Him, witnessing of Him, and coming to love Him through repentance. It was powerful.

The rest of the conference was pretty focused on our new technology, but the trainings were still so spiritual! Elder McCain gave a training about being one, and holy cow, it was possibly the most powerful training I've heard. At the end, he bore an amazing testimony of the Savior, and I was really touched. I am making it a goal to gain that kind of a relationship with Christ, and I would encourage you to do the same.

Wednesday was great! The morning was weird, as we went through and cleaned up our Facebooks, but it's really cool how much it is going to help the work. I'm excited!

That night we had lessons with DJ and Mariah, and they were both awesome lessons, I loved it. Neither of them were able to come to church this week, but hopefully they will be there next week!

Not much happened on Thursday or Friday, but there were some cool opportunities to teach some simple lessons over Facebook. It works!

Saturday was stellar! We had so many lessons, that we hardly had time to go finding. Life is great!

Sunday was definitely a highlight! We were sitting in church right as second hour started, and our Investigator Kevin texted us asking for the address, and before we knew it, he was there! He loved it, and is planning on getting baptized in June! So exciting!

Anyway, sorry that was so long, if you read all the way through I love you! Here's a poem.

Long ago, in ancient days,
A throng of people turned their gaze,
Upward, toward the sunlit sky,
They heard a voice and began to cry.

I was standing in th
at
 crowd,
Confused, for I heard no sound.
Why? I thought, filled with fear,
Are all their eyes filled with tears?

Suddenly, a heavenly light,
A pillar of fire burst into sight.
Decending, in power, gloriously bright,
Came a Man, clothed in white.

I stood, though others fell to their knees,
I looked around, struggling to believe.
I had never given second thought,
To things unseen, but taught.

Then, a voice said, "this is my Son",
We all went forth, one by one,
I touched where nails had pierced Him through,
And in my heart, at last I knew.

I love you all! Godspeed!
