Have Miracles Ceased? Nope.

Hello Squad!

I'm honestly having a hard time remembering where this week started and stopped...

OH! So, there was a definite miracle on Tuesday. We got hung up in Boone on Monday, and weren't able to go shopping, so we decided to go the next morning. So there we were, walking through Walmart, and I hear someone call for us! I look, AND IT'S JENNY!!!! It'd been almost an entire transfer since we'd talked, and she was there! I was thrilled. As we caught up, we found out she's MOVING to Sacramento! This was basically the last possible time we could've seen her. Thankfully, God provided a way, and we were able to get her new address, and send the missionaries to see her over there. #tendermercies

Wednesday we had exchanges in Carroll with Boone. Elder Littlefield and I had like, three Spanish lessons. I had no clue what was happening, but he did, so it worked. We were also able to miraculously find an investigator whom we had no address for. We just decided to knock a certain apartment, and we met his wife (who spoke no English) but told us to come back later. So we did, even though we hadn't made the connection. It wasn't till he let us in and introduced himself that I figured it out (E. Littlefield had no clue what was happening, if we needed to make him a new investigator or what... It was funny). The lesson went really well!

Thursday was spent finishing the exchange and with District meeting. I can't believe it was the last one of the transfer! It's nuts how fast time moves. I hit 9 months on Thursday

Friday was rad! We went to the pantry and did weekly planning. We were getting ready to go out for the rest of the evening when the Zone Leaders called us and asked us to come on an emergency exchange with them so I could interview one of their investigators for baptism. It was radical. We got to paint a house, eat a philly cheese steak pizza star (incredible) and have the interview!

Oh, that last line was Saturday. We didn't get home till late.

Sunday was amazing too! Jen came to church for the first time, even though she just had a surgery, AND SHE BORE HER TESTIMONY! I was blown away. She told everyone how much she had felt the spirit and loved this church, and that we were going to baptize her. *Jaw drops* She'll get baptized this next transfer.

Yup, that's the life! I love being a missionary! Transfers are this week, so please hold the mail till further notice.

I finally wrote a poem, you're welcome. Inspired by the Prophet's counsel about receiving revelation, mixed with some thoughts from district meeting:

A vessel, recepticle of truth,
Tucked away, hidden from view,
Will leak and fade,
Eventually leaving an empty you.

But take that vessel, strong and sure,
And by revelation, begin filling,
Drop by drop, with oil pure,
You can keep the lantern burning.
For testimony and power come,
Not from belief, complacent and idle,
But from faith, the oil used.,
And lantern light which lights your trials.

Love you all! Keep fighting the good fight!
