Patience Gives Validity to Faith
Hello all you beautiful people!
This week has been super average, so I don't have a lot of fun things to talk about. So please excuse the lack of details.
Tuesday was Zone Conference, so we spent the night in Boone on Monday. Had FHE with some crazy members there. Played a game called aggravation. Very aggravating.
Due to zone conference however, there was no exchanges, district meetings, etc to break up the monotony of the everyday work. So It made for a long week. Elder Broby and I had fun though. We made it fun though! We journeyed back to the massive concrete Iowa thing so that Elder Broby could get some pictures there. The weather also warmed up, which really contributed to my sanity. Elder Broby is so easily duped by things pertaining to cold, it's fantastic! This whole weekend has been filled with my stomping on melting ice, and soaking him with the slush. He's starting to retaliate though...
Anyway, we've spent a lot of time working with our favorite squad members, Randy and Jenny. Both of them came to church this week. Randy passed his baptismal interview this week, and will be baptized on Saturday! Jenny is also progressing super well, and is due for baptism on March 2nd. We're super excited!
Also, transfers is next week, so wait to send any packages till after the 1st. :D
Alright here's a poem. It's about patience , seeing as this week was so long. I learned a lot this week about the connection between hope, patience, and faith. Here're my musings;
~~
"Answer me!" I often cry,
In the darkness of night,
Yet, no reply,
Nor a sign come to my sight.
Frustrated, I turn away,
"Is my faith enough?"
I say,
"Why is my road so rough?"
Eventually, with study and prayer,
An answer, I start to see,
"Just endure, trust in me,
have faith, but also
Hope patiently. "
(See Romans 8:24-25)
~~
I love you all, hope you are all doing phenomenally!
Godspeed!
