To Every thing There is a Time and a Purpose

Hey Y'all!

This week has lasted FOREVER! We had crazy stuff going on every day, but it still lasted for so long. I have no clue why.

Monday was Transfer Monday, which meant it was basically a normal day. We got to email, but then we went to do normal work! To make monday-not-p-day bearable, we went on a Triple exchange! So Elder Olsen, Elder Mitchell, and I had a blast! We had some really cool experiences, and found two new investigators on one street! That night we went to dinner/FHE with the Davis's, and it was SO MUCH FUN!

Then Tuesday was transfer calls! Elder Mitchell and Elder Blau were transferred, and Elder Olsen was called as a trainer! It was a super exciting, but super sad day. Elder Mitchell and I got really close over the last three months, and it was sad to see him leave.

Wednesday was transfer p-day (or super p-day), and it was an awesome day! We went to the temple, went to Carthage, and spent the rest of the day with about 30 missionaries from two zones. It was so much fun! To conclude the transfer, Elder Mitchell and I ate our last quarts together. It was a bittersweet occasion. That makes 18 quarts now. We're probably gonna ate another one today. I'm almost to 20!

Thursday was the day. Transfers brought Elder Davidson to replace Elder Mitchell, and Elder Olsen's boy is named Elder Schoneman. He's pretty cool! It's funny to see how far Elder Hutchings has come since last transfer. New missionaries are so awkward. I'm glad I'm finally growing out of that stage. We also had an amazing dinner with the Higgins that night!

The weekend went by a lot faster! There was another wedding, which we helped with. I'm getting very good at following orders. And Linda called us! She had been avoiding us because of a awkward situation at church, but she opened up, and we were able to resolve her concerns! She came to church again! We're so happy for her!

So that's the week! We got a few pictures, and I tried to write a poem, but I'm not sure how well it turned out, and I don't think it's finished yet, but oh well. Here ya go.

~~
The Spirit falling all around,
Pure and white, like the snow,
Falling first, melts on the ground.
Slowly it sticks and starts to grow.

As it builds, filling my soul,
The dirt and sin are covered,
What once was dark, like coal,
Now is white with powdered snow.
~~

Love you all,  take advantage of this beautiful season to serve one another. There's nothing better than serving to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Godspeed,
Elder Housholder

Enjoying a super awesome Christmas party.
