Sang as they Walked....and Walked....and Walked
Hello All!
This week was long, and relatively uneventful! But being a missionary is still incredible, and I'm still so blessed to participate in the work!
Monday, we had Kirskville up for P-day! We went bowling, and I finally got my groove back! I went from bowling 90's, and getting pretty picked on by the boys, to bowling two 150+ games, and wrecked their days! I was super happy about that.
The rest of the week, due to some car stuff, we were walking. Which normally would've been fine, but starting Tuesday the weather flipped out. It went from 80's and sunny, to 40's and rainy overnight. So walking was miserable.
Wednesday got a little nicer, and we were still able to get TCBY that night (not a quart this time), as we walked to an appointment with RACHEL AND KEVIN!!!! Oh my goodness, I love them. We were planning on teaching them the Word of Wisdom, cause that's something we thought Kevin still struggled with. Lol, somehow they'd already found out that tea and coffee were no-go's, and have already been living that commandment for two weeks. I love them so much!
Thursday we didn't have to walk as much, because we were on exchanges with Hannibal, who's car is still usable. It was a good day! We taught Jeri (Dead Neil's sister) and she's finally ready to commit to baptism. I've probably asked her to be baptized 7 or 8 times, but this time we taught her how baptism is essential to the Gospel of Christ, and she said she wants to be baptized on November 18th. SUPER EXCITED!
Friday was zone conference, which was super rad. I really love being able to learn around and with so many missionaries. Afterwords, our whole district went to the Atwoods for dinner, and we experienced the initation of the electric fence. It hurt.
We walked some more this weekend, without finding many people. I did rebuke another silly catholic that had no clue what she was talking about. It was also much warmer Saturday morning. It was stake conference though, and the broadcast from Nauvoo got messed up by a hugeo tornado storm up there. Nobody got hurt, but it did stink to miss the adult session. Conference yesterday worked just fine though. No poem though, I was taking too many notes.
Transfers are this week! Things will be super different starting Thursday! I'm super excited!
| At the end of Tuesday. Very Wet. Very Sad. |
