Summertime Yetti ft. Zone Conference Milk - May 27, 2019

Image
Hello my glorious creations, It's been a quick week! Time just keeps going faster and faster and faster. We had zone conference though, which was super fun, but also sad because it was my last normal one. I have loved all the things I've learned in those meetings. Also shoutout to Elder Stoddard and Harvath, my intrepid zone leaders, for their training.  We also had an amazing experience teaching this lady named Shirley! She has been looking for the truth for her entire life, and said that she's been waiting since she was a little girl to feel the way that she felt around her grandma. As we read the words of Christ with her and invited her to be baptized, she was over come by the Spirit, and, "felt like her grandmother was holding her hand". Wow. God is so aware of our individual needs and teaches us in the exact way we need. Anyway, everything is going super well otherwise. John will be baptized this Saturday, Shirley will be later in June, and a ...

Like Lightening in a Summer Storm - May 20, 2019

Hello again. This week has been amazing. The Lord is so good, and we've just been showered with blessings this week. We had interviews with the Badgers for the last time. It's super sad how soon they're leaving. But it was amazing to have a chance to reflect on the growth and miracles we've seen over the last two years. I love them, and I'm definitely looking forward to when Sister Badger and I get to make bread together.  The coolest thing about this week was our lesson with Shirley. She is literally the nicest old lady in the world. We invited her to read last time, and she did. I've honestly never seen the spirit teach someone with as much clarity and power before. She literally has been so touched by the Book of Mormon that she is already sharing it with her friends. She will be baptized.  Love you all. Godspeed. Have some pics

Aye, What's Happenin? - May 13, 2019

Hello friends and family, It's been a great week, we saw lots of miracles. Keira got baptized, John is still on track for his baptism, and the members here are getting more and more excited about missionary work! Things are so good.  Otherwise, I've been pretty sick this weekend, and that has pretty much sapped my motivation to write more. I love you all! Keep the faith.  Godspeed.  Elder Housholder  Pics: 1. These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe - May 6, 2019

Image
Hello dearest people! My heart is honestly overflowing with joy right now. I can feel of the love that God has for each of you, and it is a beautiful feeling. If you haven't felt that recently or at all, I'd admonish you to seek it.     For, "the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." (Matthew 16:45-46) Anyway! This week has been one of the most rewarding of my mission. Recently we were challenged to use this thing called the Yes List every day. Holy cow, it's been a miracle using that thing. Listen to your priesthood leaders, they will give you inspired council. We were blessed this week with tons of referrals. We also found a miracle lady named Shirley out in Polk City while trying by a Less Active out there. It was an amazing lesson. But then, we started to see miracles. We've been teaching this lady named Jane for...

Shoutout to... Elder Harvath - April 29, 2019

Image
Hey squadron, Well, transfers happened. We were pretty sad that the boys were gonna get split up. We will forever remember the transfer for the Boys.  However, my man Elder Harvath is now my Zone Leader and I'm so pleased. Shoutouts for days. Also my new district leader, Elder Webb is related to a Dallin Webb who worked at camp with me. Small world. Anyway, in terms of the week things have been going super well, I love Ankeny so much. We're working with two super solid people here, Keira and John, who are both going to be baptized in May. Things are going so great with them. We committed John to do some things that are going to be pretty hard for him. The amazing thing is that because the spirit told him to be baptized on the 25th before we extended that date, he knows that God will provide a way for him to overcome his obstacles. SO MUCH FAITH. Then we had transfers. My new comp is elder koyle, he's a stud. Some of my favorite people went home this week. It...

The Atonement of Jesus Christ - April 22, 2019

Image
Hey friends and family, happy Easter! It's been a great week! Lots of good memories. Pretty much everyone canceled on us this week, so there's not much to report. With Easter this week, I had the chance to study Christ's resurrection and Atonement. I love my Savior, and as I took time to read all the topical guide scriptures about the the resurrection and Atonement I gained a deeper appreciation for His sacrifice then I ever have. I'd encourage you to read those scriptures as well. It will bless your life. Anyway, I hope you all have a great week! Transfers are this week, so that'll be exciting. Love you all!  Godspeed.  Elder Housholder  Pics: 1. Tennis with the Bois  2. With Roxie and Jeff 3. Squad 4. Randy with the Bois  5. Iowa with the Bois 6. Cooking with the Bois 7. Went to Prom.... April 15, 2019

Image
Just kidding! Everyone else in Ankeny did though... Literally no one was home. Almost as bad as IC on game day, just with less alcohol. Some members did so a cool breakfast after After-Prom, and we got the leftovers. So we did actually go to after after After-Prom, which still counts a bit I guess. Anyway, hopefully that subject line got y'all to open this email, now you just gotta keep reading.  Its been a good week though! We definitely saw some miracles and got to see eachother at Zone conference on Tuesday. S/o to all my people, especially Sister Longson and Sister Butcher for the awesome training they gave (see the miracle below from using the words of Christ, that's what they trained on.), and even s/o to you Elder Harvath. Also s/o to my man Elder C. Clark for being the new AP, you'll still always be jealous.  Ok, let me tell you about some miracles. So we've been trying to meet with this one guy, John, for a month now. We had one super good lesson wi...
