Nostalgia. - December 17, 2018
Brothers and Sisters, Dear friends,
I remember about a year ago, when my trainer told me that his two favorite words/feelings were adventure and nostalgia. At the time I related to the adventure part really well, having just come from a life of adventure in Utah. But as I've sat here this week with my most dreaded transfer approaching, thinking back on all the adventures I've had here in Iowa City, I've been relating way hard with the nostalgia side of it. We're pretty sure I'll get transferred, and it's probably the saddest transfer ever. I feel like David Tenant in his last episode of the Doctor. I don't want to go...
Anyway, sorry for the downer, I'm sure it'll be great! I might even get to serve around my boy Elder Harvath again! You never know!
This week has been fun though. We had two exchanges, played on a frozen pond, had some killer district councils (think fire and dramatic readings of the Christmas story...), and went on a road trip to Ames! It was a riot.
This Sunday was awesome though, we had 3 people come to church, and all the recent converts! It was so exhausting to keep up with all of them, it was wonderful!
Anyway! That's about all for now. Please hold mail unless you're certain it will arrive on or before Wednesday. I love y'all! Keep it up!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Gotta take the selfie.
