"Such an One as Ye Never Have Beheld"

Merry Christmas!  This week has been pretty incredible! I've always looked forward with a kind of dread for my first Christmas away from home, and even though I miss everyone terribly, this Christmas was one of the best ever!  I have to apologize, especially to mom, but the library we usually go to is closed, and the one today doesn't have a way to upload my pictures. So expect extras next week!  Last week was awesome though. Elder Hutchings was sick  on Tuesday , but was doing much better  on Wednesday !  Wednesday  was one of the coolest days of my mission. One of my favorite people in our ward, Sister Fesler, was able to attend the temple, and receive her endowments! It was amazing to be a part of that, and to stand in the celestial room with her and so many others I've grown to love in my time here.  Then we headed to Hannibal for an exchange! It'd been over a week since I'd done any knocking, and I've never been so happy abou...

Happy Holidays!  This week has probably been one of the longest of my mission.  Tuesday  we were able to get a lot of work done, thankfully! We had a dinner with the Hood's, and they invited Linda to come for a lesson. It was amazing! Rick (aka: Richard) has grown so much, and is a powerful missionary. I've grown to love that man so much. I'm going to miss him a lot when I get transferred.  We had some awesome experiences throughout the next two days. It all culminated in an amazing lesson with Jeri! Hopefully she starts making church a priority again!  Then,  on Friday , Elder Hutchings got sick. He's still sick. So I've been playing doctor for the rest of the week, and am pretty well done with sitting in the house all day every day.  So that's pretty much that! I don't have a lot to say, except for my testimony of the Book of Mormon. Through the last few days, I've had quite the chance to delve into it's truths. I've always...

To Every thing There is a Time and a Purpose

Hey Y'all!  This week has lasted FOREVER! We had crazy stuff going on every day, but it still lasted for so long. I have no clue why.  Monday was Transfer Monday, which meant it was basically a normal day. We got to email, but then we went to do normal work! To make monday-not-p-day bearable, we went on a Triple exchange! So Elder Olsen, Elder Mitchell, and I had a blast! We had some really cool experiences, and found two new investigators on one street! That night we went to dinner/FHE with the Davis's, and it was SO MUCH FUN!  Then Tuesday was transfer calls! Elder Mitchell and Elder Blau were transferred, and Elder Olsen was called as a trainer! It was a super exciting, but super sad day. Elder Mitchell and I got really close over the last three months, and it was sad to see him leave.  Wednesday was transfer p-day (or super p-day), and it was an awesome day! We went to the temple, went to Carthage, and spent the rest of the day with about 30 miss...

Happy Holidays!

Hello all you beautiful people!  This week was crazy! A lot happened, but it's stuff that lacks detail. So idk how long this email will be. We'll just have to see!  Tuesday  we ended up on an impromptu exchange due to some meetings that came up. So Elder Olsen and I knocked most of the afternoon. It was fun, but people were super standoffish. It was kinda weird.  Wednesday  was district meetings and a zone lunch! We all went to TCBY, but a bunch of people were lame and didn't do a quart with us. Pictures are attached. This makes 16 quarts. I'm shooting for 20 before I leave. #dontjudge# isindifferentthanyou Thursday  and  Friday  we spent on our actual exchange. Elder Blau and I talked about Brandon Sanderson while knocking, and the two investigators we found were both named Brandon. It was a sign.  There was a big Nativity Creche`  Thursday  through  Saturday , so we ended up spending about 15 hours hel...
